Arvada Center Opens HOW I BECAME A PIRATE, 1/26 by BWW
News Desk (Jan. 26 2:00 AM) - On January 26, The Arvada Center opens the children’s theater production How I Became a Pirate, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, directed by David and Julie Payne. The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and Illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run January 26 – March 9 in the Center’s Main Stage Theater before moving to the intimate Black Box Theater March 21 – April 14, 2012. Performances are 10am and noon, Tuesday through Friday, Saturdays at 11am – February 18, 25 and March 2 and 11am and 1pm, April 7 and 14. |

SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT Announces Post-Broadway Tour Dates! by BWW News Desk (Jan. 24 9:13 AM) - As previously announced, television and movie star William Shatner will bring his one man show SHATNER’S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT to cities across the U.S. in 2012. Tickets for all cities go on-sale the weekend of February 3rd. The tour follows a three week run at Broadway’s Music Box Theatre from February 14 - March 4. |

Arvada Center Announces THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST Cast by BWW
News Desk (Jan. 24 1:30 AM) - The Arvada Center Artistic Producer and show Director, Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. The show marks Lansberry’s directing debut in the Center’s Black Box Theater. The Importance of Being Earnest will run January 24 – February 19, 2012. THE BOOK OF MORMON Sells Out Three-Week Denver Engagement in Hours by BWW News Desk (Jan. 23 12:52 PM) - The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Denver Center Attractions have confirmed today that show show sold out its three-week engagement within 5 hours after tickets went on sale yesterday, January 24 at 10am. THE BOOK OF MORMON will play the Ellie Caulkins Opera House from August 14 –September 2, 2012. Following the Denver engagement, THE BOOK OF MORMON tour will play the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles for a twelve week run from September 18 through November 25, 2012. Tickets for the Los Angeles engagement will go on sale soon. |
