Arvada Center Opens HOW I BECAME A PIRATE, 1/26

(Jan. 26 2:00 AM) - On January 26, The Arvada Center opens the children’s theater production How I Became a Pirate, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, directed by David and Julie Payne. The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and Illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run January 26 – March 9 in the Center’s Main Stage Theater before moving to the intimate Black Box Theater March 21 – April 14, 2012. Performances are 10am and noon, Tuesday through Friday, Saturdays at 11am – February 18, 25 and March 2 and 11am and 1pm, April 7 and 14.

Tickets for all cities go on-sale the weekend of February 3rd. The tour follows a three week run at Broadway’s Music Box Theatre from February 14 - March 4.

(Jan. 23 12:52 PM) - The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Denver Center Attractions have confirmed today that show show sold out its three-week engagement within 5 hours after tickets went on sale yesterday, January 24 at 10am. THE BOOK OF MORMON will play the Ellie Caulkins Opera House from August 14 –September 2, 2012. Following the Denver engagement, THE BOOK OF MORMON tour will play the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles for a twelve week run from September 18 through November 25, 2012.
