The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) previously announced that 62 finalists selected from tens of thousands of students will compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, scholarships and other honors at an event on Broadway to be hosted by the Tony Award-nominated stars of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (the Prince). The fifth annual performance showcase featuring dynamic ensemble and solo performances exclusively from the musical theater cannon will take place tonight, July 1, 2013 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St).

After sold show out performances in LA, NYC, and DC, nationally recognized actor and vocalist Gia Mora announces the Colorado premiere of her critically acclaimed solo show,Einstein's Girl. The show will play for one night only tonight, June 16 at 7:30pm at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret in Denver, CO. Lannie's is located at 1601 Arapahoe Street in downtown Denver on the 16th Street Mall.

Denver Center Attractions announces the 2013 nominees for The Bobby G Awards - the Colorado regional awards program for The National High School Musical Theater Awards. Fifteen public and private high schools in the seven Denver metro counties participated in the inaugural season. The awards ceremony, on May 30 at 7pm in The Seawell Grand Ballroom, includes performances from the shows nominated for outstanding overall production and honors outstanding achievements by students and educators made in the areas of performance, design, direction, choreography, technical production and overall production excellence.

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON which played a record-breaking three-week run in the fall of 2012 returns for a limited engagement October 22-November 24 at The Buell Theatre. I must say that there was plenty of Disney magic in this visual extravaganza and it delighted my inner-child ever so much.

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON which played a record-breaking three-week run in the fall of 2012 will return for a limited engagement October 22-November 24 at the Buell Theatre. Subscribers to the 2013/14 Denver Center Attractions season will have first access to purchase tickets to the return of THE BOOK OF MORMON on April 8. A public on sale date is to be determined.

Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner will play Elder Price and Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon, which previews at the Prince of Wales Theatre from tonight, 25 February 2013.

I have to say that the show as a whole was good - the sets were fun and inventive and the singing was excellent; however several aspects were not up to par.

Denver Center Attractions The Bobby G Awards, a regional high school musical theatre awards program, joins The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) as a participating program for 2013. Due to this exciting announcement, the deadline for public and private high schools in the seven county Denver metro to apply has been extended to February 8.
