Mysterious Skin to open in Manchester

The controversial play based on the best selling novel 'Mysterious Skin' will open in Manchester for one week only from May 22nd at the Three Minute Theatre produced by the award nominated Vertigo Theatre Productions who just received rave reviews for their original thriller 'M'

Is this the same novel that the movie, "Mysterious Skin" was based on? The one with Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

If so, I think that could make a really good play. Although, I'd miss Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Indeed it is, it was adapted to the stage in 2003 and has had productions in LA, San Francisco, Dublin and London.

JGL was AMAZING in the film version, the play is very strong and the impact at the end just as horrifying and powerful.

Pre orders went on sale on Monday morning and by 6pm the entire run was sold out, an extra performance (tues 21st May) was added and that also sold out on the Monday. We have managed to add another row of seats in each night and they will go on sale March 11th via Quaytickets.

Watched this last night and have to congratulate you guys for an excellent production of an excellent play. The cast were great particularly the two leads who had clearly dug deep for those performances. Well done to all involved.

Great little venue too, will def visit again.
