Raindance: A Benefit Performance for Mayor HickenlooperÂ's Colorado Fire Relief Fund 2012 Set for 7/14

This Saturday, July 14th, HOT 107.1, Grassroots California, and Colorado Daily will present Raindance: A Benefit Performance for Mayor Hickenlooper's Colorado Fire Relief Fund 2012, featuring Michal Menert, Clicks & Whistles, OG Status (formerly Candyhunter with members of Crushendo, DYNOHUNTER, and Two Fresh), and Dnae Beats at the Boulder Theater.

A silent auction will be held in the lobby of the Boulder Theater for the duration of the show and will feature donated items from Grassroots California, Jiberish, So Gnar, Meant Clothing, Never Summer, Coalatree Organics, and many more! All of the profits from the silent auction will go directly to the Colorado Fire Relief Fund 2012. Colorado-based Michal Menert comes from a musical background of playing guitar, keyboards, and dabbling in a variety of other instruments giving him a unique approach to composing his own musical style. Menert co-produced the debut Pretty Lights album, Taking Up Your Precious Time, released his first solo album, Dreaming of a Bigger Life in the Spring of 2010, and most recently dropped the mega-LP, Even If It Isn't Right in April 2012. He also performs with Paul Basic under the moniker Half Color. His sound combines obscure vintage samples from both Eastern European and Western vinyl with rich analog synthesis and organic hard hitting beats. It is a fusion of yesterday's elements and tomorrow's ideas.
