Photo Flash: First Look at Miners Alley Playhouse's MRS. MANNERLY, Opening Tonight

Inspired by hilarious memories of a childhood etiquette class, playwright Jeffrey Hatcher conjures up the world of a ten-year-old studying manners. Mrs. Mannerly is a demanding teacher, and no student in her thirty-six years of etiquette classes has achieved a perfect score. But when he discovers her secret past, Young Jeffrey is determined to be the first to achieve this feat. This unique comic tale reveals truths about the face we present and the real selves that lie inside.

"Mrs. Mannerly" features Deborah Curtis as Mrs. Mannerly, Chris Bleau as Jeffrey and Erica Johnson as - everyone else!

Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher has had many plays produced, most notably Three Viewings and A Picasso, Scotland Road, The Turn of the Screw, Tuesdays with Morrie (with Mitch Albom), Murder by Poe, Neddy, Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Murderers, Mercy of a Storm, Korczak's Children, The Falls, and Work Song (with Eric Simonson). He wrote the screenplay Casanova for director Lasse Hallström, as well as the screenplay for The Duchess (2008).
