NOW PLAYING: Byers-Evans House Theatre Presents AN EVENING WITH EDGAR ALLAN POE thru 11/13

The Byers-Evans House Theatre Company presents AN EVENING WITH Edgar Allan POE. The Halloween classic returns to the Byers-Evans House now through November 10th. There is no better way to spend Halloween than with a scary story, and Edgar Allan Poe is the original master of the genre. The Byers-Evans House Theatre Company has adapted Poe's poems and short stories for the stage, and his works come to life in the historic setting of the Byers-Evans House Museum. This annual favorite includes some of Poe's most iconic works, including The Raven, The Masque of the Red Death, The Tell-Tale Heart, and many others.

The show takes place in the library of the historic Byers-Evans House Museum, amid the Evans family's furnishings. The room serves as the stage and creates the atmosphere appropriate to the historic nature of the stories. The museum has always supported local theatre by serving as a venue for various small companies. With the historic home as the perfect backdrop to Poe's writings, AN EVENING WITH Edgar Allan POE is sure to embody the Halloween spirit.
