The Denver Center Theatre Company presents the musical revue RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF Johnny Cash created by Richard Maltby, Jr. and conceived by William Meade, playing The Stage Theatre March 23 – May 13 (opening night Thursday, March 29). Experience the music of the legendary Johnny Cash in this revue that uses more than three dozen of the singer's best-known songs to describe the journey of a man in search of his soul. Full of love and emotion, humor and empathy, the show, like all country songs, tells it like it is.

Returning as director and principal cast member is Jason Edwards (Mama Hated Diesels). The remaining cast of RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF JONNY CASH includes DCTC debuting musicians Trenna Barnes, Troy Burgess and Kelli Provart as principals. Debuting as ensemble cast are Brantley Kearns (fiddle, guitar), Jeff Lisenby (keyboards, accordion), Brent Moyer (guitars, cornet),John Marshall (bass fiddle), Walter Hartman (drums) and John Foley (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, dobro).

RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF Johnny Cash is created by Richard Maltby, Jr. and conceived by William Meade. Orchestrations are by Stephen Bishop and Jeff Lisenby and direction by Jason Edwards. Set design is by John Iacovelli (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Amadeus) while costume design is by Kevin Copenhaver (22 seasons, World Premiere The Whale, Dracula, Mama Hated Diesels). Lighting design is by Charles R. MacLeod (279 productions/29seasons, World Premiere Two Things You Don't Talk About At Dinner, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Liar), sound design is by Craig Breitenbach (A Christmas Carol, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Midsummer Night's Dream), and projection design is by Charlie I. Miller (American Night: The Ballad of Juan José, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The House of the Spirits). Musical direction is by Jeff Lisenby (DCTC debut). Assistant director and choreographer is Jane Lanier (DCTC debut).
