Boulder International Fringe Presents The World Premiere Of THIS SHOW MIGHT BE TERRIBLE, 8/18 - 8/25

The creator of Fringe hits "BRUISER" and "HUFFS" returns with a collection of rude, embarrassing, and hilarious tales, told from the perspective of a loud mouth gal just trying to make her way through the Windy City. Along the way we encounter hobo genius Dr. Grizz, public transportation powered by manic hiccups, a mother-daughter-nervous-break-down-road-trip, and a Mexican vacation-vacation (not a wedding, NOT A WEDDING). Huff (mostly bravely) takes on the great mermaid debate, Gap fitting rooms, OA, and the Amish. No matter what terrifying people or disastrous circumstances land in her path, this Midwestern gal gets up, brushes herself off, and moves on to the next brilliantly terrible moment. Don't miss two-time Boulder Fringe Official Encore Award winner, winner of the 2011 Chicago Stage Review award for Best Solo Performance, and the 2008 Camera Eye Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Comedy) in a brand new, original comedy!

About Kelsie Huff: Kelsie Huff is a graduate of Chicago's Columbia College and the Second City Conservatory. With Amy Sumpter, Kelsie formed the two women sketch comedy team Children of the Absurd. Their signature show, 10% Less Fat, focused on the absurdity of female body image and was performed at Second City's Donny's Skybox, Frankie J's, Chicago Sketchfest, The Beverly Arts Center, Neo-Futurarium, Cornservatory, the space, and Kentucky and Indiana State University. In 2005, Kelsie wrote and produced her acclaimed solo show, HUFFS, at Chicago's Royal George Theatre, and later co-produced it with square product theatre in the 2008 and 2011 Boulder International Fringe Festival. HUFFS garnered Kelsie the 2008 Camera Eye Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Comedy). Kelsie's solo show BRUISER, produced by square product theatre, garnered rave reviews in Boulder and Chicago, earning Kelsie the 2011 Chicago Stage Review award for Best Solo Performance. Kelsie can currently be seen performing stand-up around Chicago and is jazzed to head up, the kates, an all female stand-up line-up performing the last Saturday of the month at The Book Cellar in Lincoln Square, Chicago. kelsiehuff.com

square product theatre's Mission: The mission of square product theatre is to create and collaborate on original, honest and innovative works of theatre and performance with local and national artists.
