It is an awe-inspiring story told through song, featuring a show-stopping score including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina." "Evita" is a glamorous, powerful and fiery account of the world's first major political celebrity.

"Just So"
By Rudyard Kipling, author of "The Jungle Book"
Ever wonder how life's little mysteries came about? It's time to find out! Set in a once-upon-a-time land of trunkless elephants, thin-skinned rhinos, and spotless leopards, everything is "just so" until a great adventure transforms them all. Three of Rudyard Kipling's famous tales including "How the Elephant Got His Trunk" and "How the Leopard Got His Spots," come to life to take you on a fun filled ride of fantasy, humor and song as you discover the answers. This witty and clever musical about courage, individuality and friendship is sure to delight the mind

GALLERY EXHIBITIONS

"Pressing the Limits: Four Contemporary American Printmakers" "Pressing the Limits" refers to the presses artists employ to print original graphic works such as woodcut, etching, lithograph, collograph and monotype. For this exhibition, "pressing" has a double meaning,
alluding as well to the artists' technical experimentation. Pressing the Limits pushes beyond traditional print processes and illuminates new
methods. Organized by Hand Graphics Studio of Santa Fe, "Pressing the Limits" first exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Center in Las Vegas, NV and features the cutting edge work of four long-experienced and widely recognized New Mexico printmakers--Michael Costello, Jennifer Lynch,
Willis F. Lee and Mitchell S. Marti. Through April 5, 2009

Army Air Corps (during which time he was posted to Denver's Lowry Field). In 1946, shortly after his military discharge, he was hired to teach at the University of Denver, made his home in Arvada in 1949 and continued to teach until he retired in 1972. Sanderson's paintings are
recognized for a style that is both realist and modernist, characterized by rhythmic patterns, bold shapes and strong colors. This exhibition has been organized with the assistance from the Sanderson estate and the artist's son, Michael Sanderson.

A 343-foot-long "sea-saurus" named Squiggles is the featured element of the Arvada Center's play area. Squiggles--who was named Best Sea Monster by Westword--is a multi-colored, multi-textured concrete sculpture. Kids
can explore Squiggles by climbing around, over and under him. The playground also includes a large sand box with three additional concrete sculptures and trashcans that talk back when garbage is placed in them. Squiggles is wheelchair accessible and his various textures offer a tactile experience for blind children. The play area is open every day.
