Arlo Guthrie Comes to the Boulder Theater, 3/30

Z2 Entertainment will present Here Comes the Kid….Arlo Guthrie's Solo Tribute to Woody to the Boulder Theater on Saturday, March 30th, 2013. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at 10:00 am for $30 general admission seated, $40 reserved & $47.50 gold circle.

Throughout his own career Arlo Guthrie has honored his father in song as well as in life. With the centennial of Woody's 100th birthday approaching, Arlo will embark on a new solo tour, Here Comes The Kid, which will begin October 2012 and run through 2013 continuing the celebration of Woody Guthrie's immeasurable contributions to the landscape of American folk music.

Since childhood, Arlo was amazed by the creative genius of his father and his friends that would drop by: Leadbelly, Brownee McGee, and Cisco Houston to name a few. Not surprising, Arlo drew from those experiences and he in turn became a delineative figure for a new generation. Arlo has long paid homage to his dad with his own renditions of Woody's songs, but of equal importance - Woody's legacy is well defined in Arlo's own works: in his humor, his political and social activism, and his undeniable gift for storytelling.
